The Inn at Christmas Place
For this one-of-a-kind project at the Inn at Christmas Place in Tennessee, our team was brought in to transform an already stunning aquatic space into something that truly fits the business’ Christmas theme and captures the essence of winter in a setting designed to be enjoyed year-round.
This project required seamlessly integrating realistic faux snow into the resort’s lazy river and pool environment, while also ensuring it complemented the natural movement of water and the surrounding rock features. To achieve this, we engineered custom channels throughout the rock grotto, allowing water to cascade in a way that mimics the melting patterns of snow under the summer sun. The result is a dynamic visual experience where “snow” appears to slowly thaw, blending seasonal charm with functional design.
Handcrafted Snow, Built to Shine
Every element of the snow application was meticulously handcrafted. Our team carefully planned and sculpted each drift and formation to replicate how snow naturally accumulates, with soft edges, organic layering, and intentional snow drifts. The concrete material used was mixed and applied entirely by hand, giving us full control over texture and realism.
To elevate the illusion we incorporated specialized white pigments and fine diamond dust into the finish. This subtle yet impactful detail allows the surface to catch and reflect sunlight, creating a sparkling effect that closely mirrors the brilliance of real snow.
